We would like to THANK all the teams that came to our 2005 Howl-O-Ween tournament in costume. You gave our judges many wonderful photographs to look at and some very tough decisions to make. Below, you will find photographs of the winning teams AND from all the teams who entered our contest. It took our tournament committee quite a while to select this year's winners. There were many that we liked, but in the end, we knew we could select only 3 (well - we couldn't resist and threw in a fourth) and through a long iterative process, we selected our winners.
We did have one technical glitch with the photos - During the cleanup process, our "cheat sheet" that matched our photo numbers with teams somehow disappeared. If you can identify teams #1 and 4 please send us an email at howloween@rtsa.org and we will update this web page.

Congratulations to the East Hanover Stingers U10 Girls The Buzz around the Howl-O-Ween tournament this year was that the Stingers had come to play some soccer, sting our judges, and bring home the honey. Our judges found their costumes bright, colorful, and cheerful. We liked the fact that they took their everyday uniforms and converted them into bee outfits; fitting for a team called the Stingers. Our judges also liked all the "extras" this team brought along - the glasses, antennae, and tails, the bee-keeper coaches, the flowers, and of course, the littlest bee of all (U-1???). Congratulations girls, on a job well done converting your team name to beeutiful costumes and for beeing <couldn't resist> at our tournament! |

Congratulations to the
Madison Pirates U10 Girls Arghh. What can we say about the Pirates' costumes. Our judges were in a piratey sort of mood, handing out two prizes to pirate teams. Another colorful costume that doubled as a playable uniform caught the eyes of our judges. The Pirates will be taking home $100 in booty - not a bad day for a pirate! We've been told that the Pirates have donated their booty to the Hurricane Katrina Relief effort. Way to go Pirates! |
